Giving

Every gift is a sacred treasure to our Foundation - whether you donate one-time or annually, participate in our special events, or give a tribute gift. All gifts allow us to continue our health care ministry by providing superior health care to everyone.

In return, you can feel confident that your gift is making the difference in people's lives.

Perhaps rather than flowers, you may want to give in honor or memory of a special person. In making a donation in honor or memory of a friend, family member, nurse, or to mark a special occasion, the Foundation sends a notification letter to the person acknowledging your gift. Of course, the specific amount is confidential unless otherwise requested.

For additional ways to donate gifts, such as property or securities, the Foundation has resources available to assist in your planning. As a Foundation with a non-profit 501(c)3 designation, tax advantages may be available.

If you have questions, we encourage you to contact the St. Bernardine Medical Center Foundation.

Giving Opportunities
Ways To Give

The St. Bernardine Medical Center Foundation gratefully accepts donations of cash, stock, property, and bequests.

A planned gift is frequently an attractive method because of its ability to be creative and establish a living legacy.

There are three Primary Types of Planned Gifts:

1. Outright Gifts

Outright Gifts allow the hospital to use the asset immediately. These gifts are often in the form of securities, tangible personal property or some type of real estate.

2. Life Income Gifts

Life Income Gifts, whereby a donor in exchange for a present-day gift receives a stream of income for life, and upon death, the remainder value is transferred to the nonprofit.
3. Deferred Gifts

Deferred Gifts, which consist of gifts bestowed through wills and trusts, pass into the possession of the hospital upon the donor's death.
Additional Ways to Give

Naturally there are other ways to give. If you would like to donate to the Foundation in any of the following ways, we welcome your generous contribution.

  • Bequest
  • Cash Gift
  • Charitable Gift Annuity
  • Charitable Remainder Trust
  • Gifts of Life Insurance
  • Personal Property
  • Retirement Plan

St. Bernardine Medical Center appreciates your contribution, large or small, for it plays an important part in our healing mission as we strive to build a healthier community.

Donor Spotlight

Give in Honor or Memory of Someone
A gift of lasting value
Our program provides you with the opportunity to give a gift of lasting value because a memorial gift honors the life of a family member or beloved friend year round. Loved ones can also contribute together to establish a special fund in a person's memory to be used for a specific need.
